This animal is suffering from stereotypia, called « bear twitch ». It’s a twitch of boredom. That’s why it is swinging laterally. It moves its head from left to right, outside the stall or in front of the facing wall and looks like a splendid dark animal suffering from « Spleen ». It reminds me of Géricault’s paintings, in the way he uses romanticism, madness and horses to describe his feelings and thoughts about life.
